Sounds of the Soul – The Contribution of Jewish Music

This is wonderfully entertaining for everyone. It brings to mind for me how much the world has changed. There still is prejudice, but nowhere near like it was in the 1940s when I was the only Jewish child in my school. The children knew everyone’s religion, especially so the Gentiles would know who the Jews were so they could hate them. I think growing up in that world, that made no sense to a little girl who didn’t even know what being Jewish was, made me who I am as a lifelong fighter for justice and equality.
