Kevin Strickland’s release December 1, 2021
After 42 years and massive efforts to right his wrongful conviction, Kevin Strickland was released from prison. There wasn’t even any argument to keep him incarcerated – his innocence was obvious early on. I wept reading this — it’s not a frothy Delight but it is a deep down one that Kevin isn’t destroyed and that he is free. It’s some mitigation against the despair that comes up for us that this could happen in the fact that things that are so unjust can radicalize us to bring about a societal shift.
