Real Life “Lord of the Flies” Monday, July 26, 2021
This is one of the most wonderful stories ever. It gives a tangible lie to the “given” that people are inherently self-serving and warlike. It’s such a perfect story because it’s the antithesis of Lord of the Flies, the story every school child must read from which they learn about human nature. That’s fiction, where in this story it’s fact and demonstrates just the opposite about our nature.
