This is another gem from the wonderful CBS Sunday Morning show. What a treat to meet an original who isn’t weird – even though the description on YouTube calls The Flaming Lips band “delightfully weird.” In a world coming out of rugged individualism, where Zoom is our new friend, I think about putting some originals together for the sparks that could fly. Wayne Coyne, can I collect you? I am working on what we’d do. Stay tuned.

I’m in love with Marilyn Maye – partly cause she’s older than I even am, and that’s getting up there, but mostly cause she’s an irresistible performer. Watch this profile of her from a CBS Sunday Morning from 2018 and then come back and click here if you'd like to see a performance she's doing tomorrow that you'd have to pay for.

I keep thinking I must have seen every idea artists use to base work on and then there’s another one, like these sculptures that emerge from the surfaces of traditional Persian carpets!

I subscribe to Tim Ferris's 5-Bullet Friday. His recent podcast guest was Kevin Kelly, “co-founder of WIRED, polymath, and most interesting man in the world,” and Tim just passed along Kelly’s latest “wonderful list of life advice and wisdom.” I also subscribe to Kelly’s weekly Recomendo mailing of great tips that I’ve gotten Delights from.
